Our speaker, William M. Abrams, joined Trickle Up in 2005, following a career as a senior executive and journalist for The New York Times, ABC News and The Wall Street Journal. Under his leadership, Trickle Up has helped more than 55,000 people start or expand microenterprises, benefitting nearly 300,000 people in Africa, India and Central America. Founded in 1979, Trickle Up is recognized as a global leader in economic development for people living in the deepest levels of poverty and vulnerability. Trickle Up provides women with the tools to build livelihoods that grow their income, skills, savings and self-confidence.
